ALFI held a full week of webinars on European asset management and global distribution topics. It allowed the fund community to come together again, exchange ideas, learn, and re-kindle business relationships in virtual form.

On Tuesday 15 September, partners Sophie Dupin and Thibaut Partsch presented, reviewed and commented ESMA’s letter to the European Commission in respect of the review of the AIFMD. They focused on the extent to which delegation will be possible in the new environment as well as the latest developments in respect of secondment arrangements.

On Thursday 17 September partner Jérôme Wigny was a panellist in a discussion on the latest trends in alternative investment funds. The panel notably discussed the influence of Covid-19 on investment strategies and business models as well as how the mindset, the business and the products of investment managers have been impacted.
