On 6 August our Hong Kong office co-organised a Webinar on “The rise of Luxembourg PE/RE vehicles in Asia”, together with TMF.

Partner Xavier Le Sourne and Counsel Charlotte Chen were joined by TMF’s Anja Grener (Luxembourg) and Seamus Fox (Hong Kong) to provide an overview of the most commonly used Luxembourg non-supervised PE/RE structures and share insights on the current trends for marketing and distributing such funds. The panel also provided some case studies of several fund structures used by Asia managers – from sub-threshold managed AIFs to full fledged parallel Cayman/Luxembourg funds – in order to give participants a more tangible insight into a fund’s lifecycle and the advantages of Luxembourg as a fund centre.
