HFM European Legal Summit 2024

Elvinger Hoss Prussen was present at the HFM European Summit 2024, organised by With Intelligence in St Albans, UK. Launched over 10 years ago, this key event brings together legal leaders from across Europe each year, on invitation only, and provides an opportunity for peers to exchange views and experiences on crucial industry issues.

Partner Thomas Göricke attended the conference and Counsel Jérôme Mausen co-leaded a workshop on “Project 2026: Preparing for AIFMD II”. With AIFMD II coming into force in April of this year ahead of a full roll out in 2026, it is vital that fund managers with a presence in the EU get ahead of the curve. Similarly, funds with EU exposure need to keep a close eye on the extra territorial reach bedded into this regulation set. This workshop went over key parts of the framework, including its impact on Loan Originating Funds, the new rules pertaining to liquidity management, and aimed to create an open discussion on the key challenges the industry is facing with its implementation.
