After 31 December 2013 UCITS may no longer hold investments in UCIs under the trash ratio

We would like to draw your attention again to our Newsflash of 22 November 2012 in which we provided information on ESMA's position that UCITS can no longer invest in UCIs under the trash ratio.
In our subsequent Newsflash of 28 November 2012 we informed you that the CSSF requested in their Press Release 12/546 that all UCITS holding investments in UCIs under the trash ratio had to sell those positions by 31 December 2013 at the latest.
The CSSF has now indicated that they shortly intend to send a Questionnaire to all UCITS seeking their confirmation that they no longer hold investments in UCIs under the trash ratio.
