Women at the top Luxembourg - The path to parity: women in the workplace
Europe has many highly qualified women with 60% of current university graduates being female. Nevertheless, women are under-represented in high-level positions, including on corporate boards, and the progress is very slow.
On 16 June, the Financial Times collaborated with the Luxembourg Times to present a conference on gender equality in business. Elvinger Hoss Prussen was a principal co-sponsor of the event.
Our Managing Partner Manou Hoss was a speaker on a panel entitled “Beyond the rhetoric: The path to parity”, which discussed how companies can take real action to improve gender balance. The four business leaders on the panel, shared the best practices they’ve adopted and the challenges that still linger:
- What are the board strategies that make a real difference?
- How should you tackle unconscious bias and gender stereotypes in patriarchal companies?
- Agents for change: How can businesses better engage men in creating gender equity?
- Should European boardrooms have tougher gender quotas?
