Exclusive session on ELTIF 2.0
Elvinger Hoss Prussen was present at the Exclusive session on ELTIF 2.0 organised by Apex Group Directors Club. Together with Partner Yves Elvinger, the conference explored what ELTIF 2.0 means for independent directors, how to navigate CSSF’s evolving expectations, and how boards can remain compliant, resilient, and strategically positioned for growth.
European long term investment funds (ELTIFs) represent a major step forward in opening alternative strategies to nonprofessional investors. The revised ELTIF Regulation, applicable since January 10, 2024, together with the new ELTIF RTS, significantly updates the EU’s long term investment framework. Luxembourg continues to play a key role in developing retail accessible products, with ‘democratised’ vehicles increasingly structured through ELTIFs, Part II funds, or a mix of both. The ELTIF regime also provides a strong passporting solution for retail distribution across the EEA, introducing new responsibilities for independent directors.
