We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. In this role, you will support the monitoring, analysis and protection of the organisation’s IT systems, networks and data against cyber threats. This position is well suited to a candidate at the start of their cybersecurity career who is eager to learn, develop and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts, events, and logs using security tools and dashboards.
  • Assist in identifying, investigating, and responding to security incidents.
  • Support vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.
  • Help maintain endpoint protection, firewalls, antivirus, and access control systems.
  • Participate in security audits, compliance checks, and risk assessments.
  • Assist with user account management and security permissions.
  • Document incidents, procedures, and security findings accurately.
  • Contribute to security awareness initiatives and employee training.
  • Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to improve system security and resilience.

Required Qualifications

  • Microsoft 365 environment: Outlook, Teams, Intune, Entra ID – advanced user level.
  • Good understanding of basic concepts: Active Directory, access rights, MFA authentication.
  • Proficiency with Data Loss Prevention tools.
  • Proficiency with internal ticketing tools.
  • Basic knowledge of email security (phishing, spoofing) and best practices for browsing
  • Good understanding of document management systems.
  • Responsiveness and ability to raise alerts immediately in case of doubt.
  • Discretion and confidentiality – strong awareness of information security.
  • Good interpersonal skills: the role involves regular contact with users.

Qualifications

  • Two to three years of higher education in IT, networks or systems (BTS SIO, professional bachelor’s degree, or equivalent).
  • Training or certification in cybersecurity is an advantage: CompTIA Security+, SC-900, ANSSI courses, etc.
  • Previous exposure to security alerts or incidents is an advantage.
