Elvinger Hoss Prussen assisted Blackstone in the acquisition of the iQ student housing company from Goldman Sachs and the Welcome Trust for £4.66 billion, the largest-ever private real estate transaction in the UK. Elvinger Hoss Prussen also assisted Blackstone in the financing of that same transaction by a group of international lending institutions.
iQ owns and operates student housing blocks comprising of more than 28,000 beds across 27 cities in the UK.
The team was led by Thierry Kauffman on both transactions.
