Candriam and Kartesia have partnered up to launch a joint European long-term investment fund (ELTIF) focused on private debt.
Open to both professional and retail investors, the semi-liquid fund will invest in the European lower mid-market, aiming to diversify across sectors and geographies, with Candriam running the liquid portion, while Kartesia manages the private credit investments.
Global multi-asset manager Candriam, which manages around €149bn of assets under management, specialises in multiple asset classes including bonds and equities as well as European private markets. Investment manager Kartesia manages €7bn in assets under management and is a specialist in private credit. Both are part of New York Life Investments. The firms stated that the fund will benefit from Candriam’s fund distribution network and Kartesia’s specialism in the lower mid-market industry.
The Elvinger Hoss Prussen team was led by Partners Jérôme Wigny and Olivia Moessner with the assistance of Associate Lisa Schon.
