Elvinger Hoss Prussen assisted Baring Private Equity Asia Limited (“BPEA”) in setting up its first Luxembourg special limited partnership (SLP) as a parallel structure to a Cayman fund, investing in mid-and large-cap buyouts and corporates in Asia.
BPEA has set up this investment fund to invest into Asian private equity targets in order to build a balanced and well-diversified portfolio of investments in equity and equity-related securities. The two parallel funds present similar functional features while the Luxembourg partnership complies with AIFMD provisions and can also be marketed to European investors.
The team was led by partner Xavier Le Sourne.
