Frédérique Lifrange specialises in the field of collective asset management and investment funds.
Frédérique advises a number of investment fund promoters, their investment vehicles and other financial institutions on a wide range of regulatory, commercial and finance matters.
Career and memberships
Maître de conférence at the Université de Liège (Belgium) from 2002 to 2006.
Trainer at the International Climate Finance Accelerator Luxembourg (ICFA).
Member of the CSSF SICAR Committee from 2009 to 2013, when the Committee was ended.
Member of ALFI (Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry) and member of various ALFI working groups.
Co-Chair of the Securitization-UCI working group of ALFI (dealing notably with the qualification of layered investment funds under the securitization regulation).
Co-Chair of the PE & VC Legal Aspects working group of ALFI.
Co-chair of the AIFMD working group of ALFI.
Member of the Financial Services/Regulatory Working Group of Invest Europe.
Lecturer at the University of Luxembourg, Master in Investment Funds Law.
Prior to joining the firm, Frédérique worked for several years with another Luxembourg law firm and in 2004 was seconded to an Irish law firm specialising in banking and finance law.
Member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2002.
Education
LLM in international trade law from the University of Essex (UK).
Licence en droit from the Université de Liège (Belgium).
