Reinventing distribution for a new age of fund management

The 10th Annual Cross-Border Distribution Conference took place on Tuesday, 17 May 2022, at the European Convention Center Luxembourg (ECCL). Hosted by Elvinger Hoss Prussen and Deloitte, and supported by Financial Times Live, this milestone edition brought together over 500 regulators, leading asset managers, and industry experts from more than 80 countries to explore the latest developments in fund distribution. Partner Jacques Elvinger alongside Partner Lou Kiesch from Deloitte Luxembourg, opened this anniversary edition, setting the stage for a day filled with insightful discussions.

This year's conference spotlighted critical issues shaped by the COVID-19 era, addressing its ongoing impact on global markets and the evolving regulatory landscape. Additionally, the event delved into the influence of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) regulations, the outcome of COP26 on climate change, the outlook for managers over a year after the Brexit deal, and other transformative topics driving the industry forward. 

Partner Jérôme Wigny moderated the panel on "Post-Brexit divergence – what next for UK and European fund managers?" leading discussions on the complexities of UK and EU regulatory divergence in terms of cost, risk management and compliance. 

As tradition, the conference provided an essential platform for professionals to consider how today’s products will shape tomorrow's landscape and impact future distribution models.
