Elvinger Hoss Prussen assisted Franklin Templeton in receiving approval from Luxembourg regulator Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier to launch the first fully tokenised Luxembourg UCITS, using in-house technology.
As part of this innovative project, we assisted Franklin Templeton UCITS management company in receiving approval as transfer agent and related use of Franklin’s proprietary blockchain-enabled transfer agency platform, including the ICT and DLT components of the set-up. It is an important step forward for the fund industry providing investors with improved transparency, security, accuracy and immediacy made possible by public blockchain technology.
