Elvinger Hoss Prussen assisted the European Investment Fund (“EIF”) in the drafting and negotiation of Luxembourg law governed financing documents for several projects. These include five guarantee agreements with certain eligible financial institutions under the Western Balkans Enterprise Development & Innovation Facility (“WB EDIF”) which aims at strengthening competitiveness of small businesses across the Western Balkans by improving access to finance at preferential conditions for small and medium-sized enterprises (“SMEs”).
The EIF is an EU institution specialised in the provision of risk finance to benefit SMEs across Europe, notably in the field of entrepreneurship, growth, innovation, research and development, employment and regional development.
The team was led by partners Cintia Martins Costa and Ana Bramao.
