Elvinger Hoss Prussen strengthens its position in the Monterey Insight Luxembourg Fund Report 2026

Monterey Insight is an independent research firm that publishes an annual ranking of legal advisers, auditors, and administrators active in the Luxembourg fund industry, covering both regulated and unregulated funds as well as a dedicated breakdown by fund sponsor origin, including US sponsors.

The recently published Monterey Insight Luxembourg Fund Report 2026 confirms Elvinger Hoss Prussen's position as one of the leading law firms in the Luxembourg asset management industry. Across all fund types, Elvinger Hoss Prussen holds over a third of the market's assets and almost one in three of its funds.

Combined Market Share 

As at 31 December 2025, Elvinger Hoss Prussen acted as legal adviser to 5,723 Luxembourg funds or compartments with $3.057 trillion in net assets, representing 35.56% of net assets and 29.41% of the number of Luxembourg funds that have appointed a legal adviser.

Regulated Market Share 

Elvinger Hoss Prussen acted as legal adviser to 3,790 Luxembourg regulated funds with $2.66 trillion in net assets, representing 42.27% of total regulated assets and 33.52% by number of funds, making the firm market leader by net assets. 
 

Unregulated Market Share 

Elvinger Hoss Prussen acted as legal adviser to 1,887 Luxembourg unregulated funds with $379.69 billion in net assets, representing 16.73% of total unregulated assets and 23.59% by number of funds.
 

US Sponsors Market Share

Elvinger Hoss Prussen advised 1,395 Luxembourg funds or compartments sponsored or established by a sponsor of US origin, with $1.119 trillion in net assets. This represents 39.46% of net assets and 29.61% by number of funds, the leading position by total assets for funds with a US sponsor, more than any other law firm in Luxembourg.

Elvinger Hoss Prussen acted as legal adviser to 308 Luxembourg alternative investment funds or compartments with $142.83 billion in net assets, representing 41.56% of net assets and 35.00% of the number of Luxembourg alternative investment funds that have appointed a legal adviser, ranking it the number one legal adviser in Luxembourg by both net assets and number of funds.
